Flipgrid has been fully integrated into MATHiaFlex, eliminating the need to go outside of MATHiaFlex to create or answer topics. When a teacher creates a class in MATHiaFlex, a grid is automatically created in a Flipgrid account tied to MATHiaFlex. Students automatically have a Flipgrid account created when they are registered in MATHiaFlex.
In MATHiaFlex, teachers first create a Flipgrid Activity and then assign it to a class or classes. This allows the Flipgrid Activity to appear in student To-Do lists and on their Assignments page with a clear due date. Their teacher will receive the video submission on the Class Dashboard to evaluate it, and students can track scores and feedback for their evaluated assignments in MATHiaFlex. When a Flipgrid activity is created and assigned, a topic is automatically created in the corresponding grid for the classes it is assigned to.
Teachers then have access to their entire Flipgrid for all classes on their Resources page and are able to edit options for each topic.
Creating a Flipgrid Activity allows it to be saved for future use and tagged to the program, level or grade, and unit it is associated with. You may also share your activities with other teachers in your school or district to allow more collaboration.
You may create a Flipgrid Activity from the Content Library, or from your Assign Cart if you have already started collecting activities to assign to a class. Some programs have pre-created Flipgrid activities that you can search for and assign.
