Custom activities are teacher-created activities that allow you to share resources with students, create short-answer response activities, or allow students to upload different types of files for projects, presentations, etc.
Creating a Custom Activity saves it for future use and allows you to tag it to the program, level, and unit with which it is associated. You may also share your activities with other teachers in your school or district to allow for more collaboration.
CREATE A CUSTOM ACTIVITY
You may create a Custom Activity from the Content Library or your Assign Cart if you have already started collecting activities to assign to a class.

- From the Content Library, click on Create Content in the top right then select Activity from the drop-down menu. Click the Create button to the right of the drop-down menu to begin creating a Custom activity.

- You may also create a Custom activity from your Assign Cart by clicking Create.

- Both actions bring up the Activity creation window. Click Custom and fill out the activity details with a Title, Level, and Score Possible. You may also choose to share the activity with other teachers using the Share With drop-down menu. In the Description text box, type the instructions for the students.
- You may also attach a file or a URL that you wish the students to reference.
- Choose the Response Type:
- Upload File or URL: This allows students to upload their file or type in a URL to a Google Doc, for example.
- Write Short Answer: Students may type a short answer response (<1000 characters) in a text box.
- No Student Response: You may use this for items you just want to share with students. Students will simply mark the activity as submitted, acknowledging that they received the information.
